What if

What if no one experienced heartbreak?
Cornel Grey,
Youthlink Writer

If no one got their heart broken then life, in my opinion, would lose some of its meaning. I think that at some stage, a person should go through heartbreak. I know it might sound a bit mentally incorrect but heartbreak makes you stronger, it tests your emotional strength and that will help you in life. Also, many people would not be as in touch with their emotions as they need to be.

But, back to the point, if no hearts were broken, then millions of memorable songs would not come about and, instead, artistes would always sing about something like happiness, and that's somewhat creepy.

But it's not only songs. Artwork, movies, dances and so much more would not be around. If no one experienced heartbreak, then that would mean relationships would always be perfect and you and your lover would perhaps go on forever, or become best friends if things didn't work out.

Precious moments

On another note, your friends would not be tested as much. When your heart's broken, your friends are there to console you and that's quality bonding time. However, without heartbreak, many precious moments with friends would never be. So, heartbreak has its ups and downs. With that said, be careful not to wear your heart on your sleeve, because too much heartache can be destructive.
