My
life changed when ...
Shanna-Kaye Laing ,Youthlink Writer
At
some point in our lives, there comes that
one experience that changes everything;
whether how you look at the world, and life
in general, or how you do things. For some,
these are life-changing experiences; for
others, simply something worth learning
from.

experiences - the impact, their reactions
and the lessons they have learned.

"My
life changed the day I got baptised. I was
facing difficulty, in terms of whether or
not I should, but now I'm glad I did because
I now make more reasonable, sensible decisions
and I look at the world through more mature,
responsible eyes."

"I
can't really recall any particular point
in my life where there was a dramatic change
or a great life-changing moment. But if
I had to identify a moment of significant
change, it would have been in the 10th grade
when my eyes became open to the reality
of how society really works."

"The
death of a relative is never something you
expect, and my life really changed when
my mommy died when I was 15 years old. My
life took a course I never wanted it to
take and that sort of changed how I dealt
with my family and friends. It changed my
whole perspective on how I communicated
with people. This changed my whole world
and how I look at life."
