You
have so much to say that we want to hear.
Why don't you share your Feedback on articles
and photos published in Youthlink.
Feel free to make suggestions about what
you would like to see us do to improve the
magazine. That includes you too, adults.
This
week two adults join three youths and have
their say.
Sean,
19: This week's (June 8-14) cover
page with T.I. was cute and the posters
were nice; also, what a variety (lol)! By
the way, 'Fashion Quickies' wasn't all that
interesting. I mean, couldn't there be a
greater variety of clothing and accessories?
Interesting topic but I didn't like the
content.
Zoey,
18: I've been checking out the
YL text mania and I wonder where some teens
find so much credit to send all these shout-outs.
Well, I guess it's working as it seems to
be quite a prominent page in Youthlink.
Ricardo,
16: Regarding the feature in
which you guys interview young people who
volunteer their time, couldn't it be more
depicting? Could we actually see them helping
someone to read or doing whatever it is
that their volunteering involves?
According
to the adults ...
Jennifer
(entrepreneur): I think these
youths are taking the Dear Counsellor feature
way out of proportion. So much so that the
feature is becoming distasteful to me. I
refer to the one in your June 8-14 publication
in which this young lady was talking about
a recurring infection that she has been
struggling with from age 16 through unprotected
sex. These teens need to know that some
things are just not for the Youthlink
and that the person they are writing to
is a counselor, not a doctor. It was good
that he/she provided her with some advice,
but this situation leaves much to be considered
about the younger generation. In my opinion,
they seem to use age 16 as a passport for
having sex.
Sheldon
(entrepreneur): Youthlink,
in my view, clearly has a purpose and seems
to be fulfilling just that. It's provides
teens with a tremendous opportunity, very
rear in many other countries.
