Quote of the week

"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." - Nelson Mandela

BB aware tip

Abuse affects everyone, the individual that is abused, who he or she lives with, family and who he or she is friends or is associated with. Sometimes it is hard to express our emotions to someone that is close to us and may prefer to speak to someone outside of the home or office where the abuse has taken place. The Women's Resource and Outreach Centre at 47 Beechwood Avenue, Kingston 5, offers counselling to individuals who are interested every Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Joke of the week

After a really good party a man walks into a bar and orders a drink. Already drunk and delirious, the man turns to the person sitting next to him and says, "You wanna hear a blonde joke?"

The person replies, "I am 240 pounds, world kickboxing champion and a natural blonde. My friend is 190 pounds, world judo champion and is also a natural blonde. Our other friend is 200 pounds and recently got out on probation. Do you still want to tell me that blonde joke?"

The man thinks for a while and replies, "Not if I have to explain it three times!"

Discussion topic

Some commuters are still being affected by the unlegislated hike in taxi and bus fares (note: Not JUTC buses). Do you expect that there will be an increase in the amount of money you receive per day for lunch and school expenses?

(A) YES 24%
(B) NO 76%

Pic of the week

On top of the world, or maybe not; just on top of The Jamaica Pegasus hotel, but New Kingston looks so alive even without the hustle and bustle of people heading to school and work (submitted by Roger Chang).
